We use this trunk ever day as a coffee table and sometimes dinner table. It's nice and large, so it doubles well for storing our guest linens. I is a good size, though, so make sure your set up can accomodate something a bit larger than a coffee table would be. We love this trunk, though!

This was a beautiful and sturdy piece. However it is large so it may look imposing in a small area.

After removing/assembling the chest from the large shipping container, I cut up and recycled the container. We picked up the chest by the handles. One completely ripped out of the side It's not wood. It is either very poor particle board or even extremely dense cardboard, yes made in China. It really looked like cardboard where the 4 screws ripped out of one side. Upon reporting it, the seller was kind enough to send a return label but I had destroyed the container. The seller (3 agents) suggested I obtain another box from the grocery store, without regard to the size or weight of the unit. Stores just don't have boxes of this size sitting around. I ended up reinforcing both handles the way they should have been installed the first time. The unit sure is pretty, but made terribly. Don't move it by the handles, don't buy from this seller.

I liked the trunk It is a solid and beautiful trunk. The problem is that the picture is deceiving and it looks smaller. Also it doesn't have dimensions and you don't know what size you are dealing with. The actual trunk is very big and it didn't fit my space. I had to returned it. The return was with no problem the company was very professional and provided great customer service.
